Quick answer
Open the row, keep the original marketplace URL beside it, and make sure the product, selected option, photos and measurements still agree. If the page only gives you a title and a price, it is a lead—not a shortlist candidate.
Start with the item, not the service name
It is easy to lose time comparing spreadsheet brands before you have decided what you need. Begin with the product. A useful starting note might be: “lightweight jacket, visible lining, chest measurement for the selected size, and a source page I can open again.”
That sentence gives you something concrete to test. A row either helps answer it or it does not. The name above the spreadsheet cannot make missing photos, unclear sizing or a dead source link more useful.
Worth opening
The row belongs to your category and shows enough detail to justify a closer look.
Leave for later
The row is attractive, but you cannot tell which option, source page or measurement it refers to.
Work out what kind of page you opened
Two pages can both call themselves a spreadsheet and behave very differently. Before saving anything, identify what is actually on screen.
| What you opened | What it can help with | What may still be missing |
|---|---|---|
| Shared sheet | Quick scanning across rows and categories | Freshness, source ownership and option details |
| Searchable directory | Filtering a large catalog by category or name | Why a product was included and when it was checked |
| Article or guide | Explaining a method or showing examples | Current product state and transaction details |
| Converted product link | Opening a source through another service | The original URL and whether the selected option survived conversion |
| Agent account page | Account-specific actions after you have verified the domain | Independent product comparison |
The name is not the evidence
You may encounter spreadsheets carrying names such as ACBuy, AllChinaBuy, Basetao, BBDBuy, CNFans, CNShopper, CSSBuy, Dupbuy, Eastmallbuy, Fishgoo, GTBuy, Hacoo, Hipobuy, Hoobuy, Hubbuycn, iTaobuy, Joyagoo, Kakobuy, Kameymall, Litbuy, Loongbuy, LoveGoBuy, Lovbuy, Mulebuy, MyCNBox, Niuniubox, NPBuy, Oopbuy, OOTDBuy, OrientDig, Pantherbuy, ParcelUp, Sugargoo, Superbuy, Tigbuy, USFans, Vigorbuy or Yoybuy.
The checking method does not change with the label. Confirm the hostname, read the page in front of you, and do not assume that a third-party list is official simply because it uses a familiar name. If the name or destination is unclear, stop before entering account or payment information.
What about a name you have never seen before?
First find the confirmed domain and publisher through a route you trust. If you cannot establish who controls the page, keep it out of account, payment and order decisions. A product link can still be studied as a lead, but its origin should remain marked as unknown.
Keep the original link beside every converted link
A converted route is convenient until the product changes or the redirect stops working. Save the starting URL, the final hostname, the selected option and the date you checked it. The source-link guide shows a simple log you can copy.
If a link finishes on a homepage, shop page or unrelated item, do not try to repair the row by guessing. Return to the original source or treat the new page as a separate candidate.
Check photos and measurements as one set
Photos are useful only when they belong to the same product and option you are considering. Start with the full item, then look at the detail most likely to change your mind: a shoe heel, jacket lining, bag interior, waistband, clasp or connector.
Measurements need the same care. A chart without a selected size or measuring method is weak evidence. Compare it with an item you already own, and keep the unit beside the number. The photo guide and measurement guide give category-specific checks.
Separate the item decision from the account decision
Item price, packed weight and international shipping belong in different fields. A low product price may still be a poor fit for the parcel you are planning. Record weight as an estimate until the packed figure is known, and use the shipping guide to compare like with like.
Login, payment, coupons, refunds, tracking and storage rules depend on a current account and verified service channel. A public spreadsheet cannot answer those questions. Use the safety notes before moving from research to an account action.
A worked example: two similar jackets
Row A has a lower price and polished front photos, but no lining view, no selected-size measurement and no original link. Row B costs a little more, shows the lining and zipper path, gives chest and back-length measurements for the chosen size, and keeps the source page attached.
Row B is easier to defend because you can explain what you know and what remains uncertain. That does not guarantee quality. It simply gives you a better basis for comparison. Row A can stay in research with a note: “needs lining photo, source page and size-specific measurements.”
A six-step check you can reuse
- Choose one category and write the detail you need to confirm.
- Open no more than three comparable rows.
- Save the original source and final destination.
- Match the exact option to the photos and measurements.
- Record price basis, likely weight and any unanswered question.
- Keep a row only when you can explain why it is stronger than the alternatives.
Stop rule: if the product, option and source cannot be connected, move the row back to research.
